What is your therapeutic approach?
Therapeutic approaches vary by provider, but here at Mindset, we use an integrative therapeutic framework, drawing from several evidence-based modalities to best meet your unique needs and goals. We frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focus on identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to promote long-term emotional well-being and behavior change. CBT, ACT, and DBT are particularly effective for issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship concerns. We will help you develop practical coping strategies for everyday challenges. In addition, we incorporate elements of neuroscience and trauma-informed treatment, which emphasize self-awareness and exploration of the underlying roots of emotional distress and psychopathology. This approach can help uncover patterns from past experiences that may influence your sense of self, the world, and others. For clients seeking a more holistic perspective, we also integrate humanistic techniques, which focus on personal growth, self-compassion, and aligning your actions with your core values. By tailoring our approach to your specific circumstances, we aim to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel empowered to achieve meaningful change and personal growth.
How will I pay for services?
Payment for services is designed to be convenient and secure. We accept all major insurance companies, including Highmark Blue Croos Blue Sheild, Independent Health, Univera, Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare. Payment is typically due at the time of service, and we are avaliable to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about billing or insurance reimbursement. Our goal is to make the payment process as seamless and stress-free as possible, allowing you to focus on your personal growth journey.
Are our conversations private?
Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of our work and is protected by both professional ethics and federal law. Everything we discuss in our sessions is kept strictly private, allowing you to speak openly without fear of your information being shared. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) sets national standards to safeguard your medical and mental health information. In most circumstances, we cannot share any details about your care without your written or verbal consent. However, there are a few exceptions required by law, such as situations where there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable individuals, or a court-ordered subpoena for disclosure of services. These exceptions are rare and will be discussed with you at the outset of therapy. Your trust is paramount, and we are committed to maintaining your privacy and ensuring you feel safe and respected in every session.
